Here's an easy folio that is quick to make but packs in lots of photo space and some interactive fun.
Begin with some medium weight chipboard, frozen pizza boxes are great for this as well as a green option. Cut one piece 18 3/4 inches by 11 inches (score at 8 3/4 and 9 3/4 inches on long side), one piece 6 inches by 11 inches (score at 1/2 and 1 3/4 inches on short side), one piece 8 1/2 by 11 inches (score at 1/2 and 1 inch on the long side), and one piece 8 by 11 1/2 inches (score at 1/2 and 1 1/4 inch on the long side).
Attach the 6 inch piece to the 9 inch panel along the right side to form the main body of the folio. Attach the other two pieces as top and bottom flaps to the 8 3/4 or 9 inch panel. Then choose your paper and begin.
I worked with Tis the Season from Echo Park.
I added some extra fold outs and interactive elements along the way.
Here is a look at the folio folded open to it's full length.
Here is an interactive lift flap...
with a surprise pop out.
Lots of space for photos.
An interactive with a banner inside.
